Barbara (Eck) Savoie says, "In the photo of H. D. and Dora, it states that Dora's last name is Eck, and that must be an error. On this paper from Dad, it states that her last name was Schempf, which makes sense because, for some reason, Bertha and her sister (who became Sr. Mary Cyril) were raised by people whose last name was Schempf. Dora's dates are 1860-1920. The dates he has for Bertha are 1893-1964 and she was born in Pana, IL."
