Photograph of: Eric Alfred Pearson.

Date: About 1946

Location: Unknown, but probably in Anchorage, Alaska

Photograph Number: 0419

Additional Information:

Eric Alfred Pearson started and operated his own passenger and cargo airline after WWII. Sometime thereafter, the government offered to give Eric title on 165 acres of airport property in Anchorage, Alaska. However, Eric declined the offer.

Eric's son remembers once seeing a Seattle newspaper article about his father in Anchorage, Alaska. The article had a picture of Eric with a bunch of women circled around him, and it said something about him personally getting rid of the old adage that Alaska didn't have enough woman. Eric later told his son that he once hauled women from Seattle to Anchorage by the plane load.
