Eric Alfred Pearson purchased this WWI biplane aircraft and flew it without any previous training or flight instruction.

Eric's son remembers his father saying this aircraft had a big problem if you stalled it in flight, for it would go into a non-recoverable flat spin until it hit the ground. Consequently, Eric always kept one eye on the air speed gauge while he was flying it.
