Photograph of: Unknown individual, Gustav Emanuel Johnson, and Ruth Axelina (Dahlman) Pearson..

Date: 1941

Location: 3 miles east of Kent, King County, Washington

Photograph Number: 0358

Additional Information:

This photograph was taken when Ruth Axelina (Dahlman) Pearson and her friend and neighbor from New York traveled across country by car in 1941. They had stopped and stayed awhile at the farm of Gustav Emanuel and Anna (Otto) Johnson. This is the same relatives Eric Alfred Pearson visited when he rode his Harley motorcycle across country in 1939.

In 1949, Gustav Emanuel and Anna (Otto) Johnson traded houses with their son and daughter-in-law Karl Gustaf and Ardis (Lindman) Johnson. The farm was later sold in 1966, and it's now a country club.

The unknown individual in this photograph is the female friend and neighbor that traveled with Ruth Axelina (Dahlman) Pearson.
