"Transcript of the above obituary"

Wiley S. Gosnell, 81, well known resident of Spartanburg, Route 3, died at a local hospital Wednesday morning.

Mr. Gosnell had lived in the County for many years. He was a member of the Arcadia Baptist Church. A member of the Arcadia Masonic Lodge. Some time ago Mr. Gosnell received his 50 year badge from the lodge.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Will Gosnell of Valley Falls, George Gosnell of Whitney, Bob Gosnell of Spartanburg; four daughters, Mrs. May Banking, Mrs. Verna Dynn of Arcadia, Mrs. Etta Mason of Spartanburg and Mrs. Myrtle Wiggins of Hampton, Va.; two step children, Hoy Graham of Greenville and Mrs. Ophelia Blackwell of Arcadia; one brother, Rollins Gosnell of Mars Hill, N.C.; also 34 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Saxon Avenue Free Will Baptist Church at 5 p.m. Friday by the Rev. J. S. Rice. Burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery.

The body will remain at the M. W. Bobo Funeral Chapel until 4 p.m. Friday at which time it will be taken to the Church to lie in state until the hour of service.

Further arrangements will be announced by Bobo's.
