Mrs. Copeland Dead

Mrs. Pollie Copeland the wife of Joseph B. Copeland, quietly passed away yesterday morning at 3:40 o'clock at her home on Henry Street. She was 82 years of age and was twice married, her first husband being Mr. Needham G. Benefield, of Georgia who died during the Civil War.

Mrs. Copeland is survived, besides her husband by five children, as follows: Mr. W. G. Benefield and Miss Janie Benefield, of this city; Mrs. James Summersgill of New Orleans; Mr. Stephen Benefield, of Columbus, GA., and Mrs. May McDonald of New Orleans, LA.

She was the mother of nine children, four of whom are dead.

The funeral services will take place Sunday afternoon from the residence on Henry Street at 2:30, conducted by Rev. C. J. D. Parker, pastor of Moffett Memorial church, assisted by Rev. H. W. Davis, of Calvary M. E. church.
