Title: Mrs. Thos. Hubbard Dies Here Tuesday

Mrs. Thomas Hubbard passed away at the local hospital late Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Hubbard suffered a stroke about seven years ago but had been in fairly good health until about a month ago when she had the second stroke which left her bedfast. At that time Mrs. Hubbard was a patient in the hospital for a few days but was moved to the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Asbridge in Flat River. Her condition became much worse Saturday and she was brought back to the hospital.

The body is in state at the Benham Funeral Home. Rev. D. M. Dabney will conduct the funeral services at the Bonne Terre Tabernacle Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and interment will be made in the Bonne Terre Cemetery.

Ada Belle Hubbard, daughter of the late Sarah Elizabeth Wood and Sidney Thomas Humphrey, was born near Irondale, July 15, 1971. In early girlhood she became a member of the Baptist Church. In 1889 she was united in marriage to Thomas Henry Hubbard who preceded her in death on November 26, 1937. Mrs. Hubbard is practically a life-long resident of Bonne Terre. She came here when a small girl and after her husband's death, she and her son, Lee, remained in Bonne Terre until his marriage and she went to East Bonne Terre and made her home with him and his family until about two and one-half years ago when she went to Flat River and has been living with her sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Ashbridge and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Adams.

Besides her two daughters and son Mrs. Hubbard is survived by a brother, Mr. Dean Humphrey of this city, two half-sisters, Mrs. Frank (Gertie) Douglas of Route Two and Mrs. T. (Bessie) Rasnic of Farmington; three cousins, Misses Lucy and Susie Webb and Louiza Morris of Flat River; nine grandchildren. four great grandchildren; 19 nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by two sons.
