Adelphia Moore, 19, Dies In K. C. - Death occurred at St. Mary's Hospital at 3:30 o'clock, Monday afternoon - Lived most of her life in this community.

Miss Adelphia Beryle Moore, 19, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Moore, passed away Monday, June 8, 1931, at 3:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., where she was taken a month ago to receive medical treatment. While in the hospital she contracted pneumonia which with other complications caused her death.

The remains were brought to Norborne Monday evening and taken to the Frank Schifferdecker home on South Pine Street, where they remained until the hour of the funeral, Wednesday morning.

Miss Moore was born north of Norborne, December 29, 1911, and had lived in this community practically all here life until recently the family moved to a farm, southeast of Waverly, Mo.

Adelphia was a very popular young lady and leaves a host of friends to mourn her untimely death.

Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Moore, she leaves three sisters and one brother, as follows: Mrs. Jesse Van Winkle, Marshall, Mo., Princess and Clara Isbella and Ezra Moore, all of the home; also Mrs. Ezra Moore, grandmother of the deceased, and a host of other relatives and friends living in Norborne and community.

Funeral services were held from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 o'clock Wednesday morning with Father H. L. Kemmer officiating. He used as his text the words found in the 6th Chapter of St. John, 22nd verse, "I will see you again and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man shall take from you."

Burial was made in Fairhaven cemetery following the rites at the church. The pall-bearers were all members of the 1931 graduating class of the Norborne High School of which Ezra Moore, brother of the deceased, was a member. They were: Gilbert Hannsz, Paul Kassen, Edward Cleary, George Gordon Webb and Holton Eschenbach and J. C. Chapman.

Mrs. R. H. Viles sang as a solo number "Abide With Me," with Mrs. Fannie B. Gordon accompanist.

The following young ladies acted as flower girls: Jennie Ellen Creel, Helen Wille, Mildred Wille, Hazel Wagner, Helen Berning and Joan Franken.

Among the out-of-town relatives and friends here for the funeral rites were the following:

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Heisle and family; Mr. and Mrs. Clem Pittman and family; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Heisle, Frank Pittman and family; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Pittman, all of Brunswick, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Surwald, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Curtus, Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson, Robt. Evans and Ralph Shoemaker, all of Kansas City, Mo.

Mrs. Ned Bryan an son, John Frances, and daughter, Margaret, and Mrs. Eugene Carter, Mt. And Mrs. Jess Van Winkle, all of Marshall, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Neal, Mrs. Emil Mueller, Mrs. Hurd Martin, Mrs. Jehu Rhea and son, Geo., and daughter, Mrs. Sherman Brockemeier, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lueders, Ora Roberts, Miss Philopena Smith, all of Carrollton.

Mrs. Daugherty and son, Everett, and daughter, Christine; Mrs. Spotts and daughter, Virginia, all of Waverly, Mo.
