"Transcript of the above obituary"

Clotilda Weber, daughter of Bernard and Mary Weber, was born at Norborne, Missouri, May 19 1912. When a small child, she came with her parents to Fowler, Kansas and spent all her life with and for her parents. Seven years ago she graduated from St. Anthony's school here. As a pupil she was diligent and alert full of life and cheer, making her a favorite with her schoolmates as well as with her teachers. After graduation she stayed at home, happy to be able to help wherever possible, to make the life of her good parents and brothers and sisters comfortable and happy. Being endowed by nature with a mirthful and childlike disposition her very presence radiated sunshine and happiness. Her untimely demise has created a great void in that happy, Christian home. She will be missed much for a long time. She was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality, faithful and ever interested in all the sodality. The sodality will miss her, but will not forget her in its prayers and monthly communions.

Ever since Christmas the deadly germs of pneumonia were making inroads into her young and strong constitution. And she fought bravely and resignedly for ten weeks to stay off the hand of death. Doctors, nurses and her family did everything possible to help her win the fight. However, all proved futile, and after having received all the spiritual ministration of the Church, her young soul took flight to the great and mysterious of realm of eternity, to rest forever in the bosom of God from whence we come. Her mortal remains were laid to rest in the Fowler cemetery, Thursday morning, March 2nd (1933). A great crowd of relatives and friends were present at the Requiem High Mass in St. Anthony's church, to pay their last respects and say a prayer for her soul, May she rest in peace.

St. Anthony's parish and school wish to extend sincere feelings of sympathy to the bereaved parents, Mr. And Mrs. Ben Weber, her three brothers, Alban of North Dakota, Bernard Jr., and Oliver of Fowler and her sister, Mrs. Wm Meng of Waterloo.
