Mrs. Ruth Chatman, 80, of Farmington died June 12, 1997 at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center - Farmington. She was born Jan. 15, 1917 in Frankclay, daughter of the late Albert & Lula 'Wilkinson' House. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nolis Chatman; son, Jeffrey Lyle Chatman; daughter, Martha Jane Chatman, in-fancy; sisters: Geneva Cox Jensen, Myrtle Robinson, Jodi Wilma House, in-infancy; son-in-law, Winfred Strange; grandson, Johnn Chatman; daughts-in-law, Judy & Meredith Chatman; brothers: Enell & Auborn House.
Mrs. Chatman was a member of Farmington Church of the Nazarene; Former member of Frankclay Church of the Nazarene; Charter Member of the Church of the Nazarene of Thornton, CO. & Westminister, CO.; member of Rebekah Lodge & Iris Society. Ruth was an accomplished Artist & Poet.
She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Devore of Farmington, Nola 'Mrs. Brad' Covell of Spokane, WA., Ange-La 'Mrs. Frank' Sutherland of Doe Run & Jessie 'Mrs. Mike' Williams of Farmington; sons: John (& Nan) Chatman of Clermont, FL., Gary & Tim Chatman
both of Montrose, CO. & David (& Marlene) Chatman of Mooreville, IN.; sisters: Jerry 'Mrs. Charles" Hughes of Westminster, CO. & Eva Conright of Thornion, CO.; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will start Sat. at 5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Funeral services will be Sun, 2:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service
Chapel with Rev. Tim Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials may be made to the
Mid-American Transplant.
