Title: Cassie Jane Chapman

Mrs. Cassie Jane Chapman of Malden, Mo., daughter of the late Christopher and Catherine White Heath, was born in Wayne County, Missouri, September 10, 1882 and passed away at Doctor's Hospital, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, July 27, 1961, aged 78 years, ten months and eight days.

She was united in marriage to Henry Chapman of Shannon County, Missouri, on October 30, 1898, who preceded her in death 22 years ago. To this union seven children were born; one dying in infancy and Clara (Mrs. Jesse) Hargis, Ove (Mrs. Otto) Christian and Earl passed away in adulthood. The surviving children are Dewey Chapman, Flint, Mich.; Thelma (Mrs. Everett) Shrader, Bernie, Mo.; Goldie (Mrs. Issac) Comley, Malden; two brothers, Lawrence, of Flint, Michigan and Ezra of Muncle, Ind.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The deceased and her family lived for a few years in Wayne and St. Francois Counties, moving to Malden about 40 years ago, where she had since resided.

Funeral services were held at the General Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dewey Allen, Saturday, July 29, at 2:00 p.m. with interment in Park cemetery under the direction of Landess Funeral Service.
