Title: Alonzo Chapman
Alonzo Chapman, son of the late Gentry and Maudie Weekley Chapman, was born May 25, 1909, at Malden, Mo., and passed away at his home in Farmington, Mo. Oct. 6, 1960, aged 51 years, four months and 11 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Pierce, of Marcola, Oregon, February 8, 1929. To this union two sons were born: Alonzo Jr., of Springfield, Oregon, and Larry LeRoy, at home.
Besides his wife and sons mentioned above, the deceased is survived by three brothers and two sisters, who are: Charles and Lee Chapman of Laytonville, Calif.;Harley Chapman, of Delta, Mo.; Iva (Mrs. Rudolf) Gison, of Dexter, Mo.; Velma (Mrs. Elvis) Martin, of Entiat, Wash.; one grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A part of his early childhood was spent in St. Francois county.
Funeral services were held at Miller's Funeral Parlor Sunday, Oct 9th at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. J. W. Allen. Interment was in Pendleton cemetery at Doe Run, with Miller Service in charge.
