Additional Information: I believe the obituary is incorrect about her being married in 1868, for marriage records list the date as December 23, 1866. Also she may of been born in 1846, not 1844.

Mrs. Kate Rank Westover died Wednesday, April 12, 1922 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Lloyd at River Rouge, Michigan, after an illness of only a week. The cause of her death was blood-poisoning. She was born at Warsaw, Missouri, in 1844 being 78 years of age at the time of her death. She was a member of the large and well known pioneer Westover family which played an important part in the early days of this county. She was married in 1868, and her husband preceeded her in death sixteen years ago. A number of years ago most of her children went to Detroit and to River Rouge and she went with them. She leaves to mourn for her the following children: Mrs. Robert Lloyd, Mrs. James Maxwell, and Mrs. Lee Fatchett of River Rouge; Mrs. Sherman Homphry and Mrs. George Gordon of Leadwood.

The funeral services were held at Leadwood Sunday and were conducted by Rev. Linus Eakers of this place. Interment was in the Boone Terre Cemetery at one-thirty Sunday afternoon. The services at the cemetery were conducted by the Rebekah Lodge of which order she was a valued member.
