Mr. and Mrs. Charles Knobloch of Monroe City celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sunday afternoon at their home, Guest include Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Knobloch, Sylvan Jr., Maria and Carolyn, Adam Ebel all of Waterloo; Mr. Mrs. Carlyle Knobloch, Carlyle Jr., Carla and Carleen, Miss Cathi Tomlinson, Mrs. Marie Fults, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Asselmeier, Mr. and Mrs. John Schneider, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kettler, all of Valmeyer, George Knobloch, Mrs. Wm. Knobloch, Bertha Faus, and Mrs. Ed Pfieffer all of Maeystown.

Mr. Charles Knobloch and Miss Mary Louise Ebel were married on September 7, 1919 at St. John Evangelical Church in Maeystown by Rev. Paul Schulz. They were attended by Walter Knobloch, cousin of the groom, and Miss Ida Kaempf, cousin of the bride. Both are deceased.

Mr. and Mrs. Knobloch lived in Maeystown during the early years of their married life and moved to Monroe City in 1923. He worked as a farm laborer and retired in 1956. They have two sons, Sylvan of Waterloo and Carlyle of Valmeyer; two daughters-in-law . . . (The rest of this article is missing).
