The marriage of Mrs. Opalean Chapman and Joseph Perry took place on Saturday, November 9, at 4 o'clock at the Church of God in Farmington. Mrs. Chapman is the daughter of Mrs. Joe Kollmeyer and the late Mr. Kollmeyer of Farmington. The church
pastor, the Rev. Harold Johnson performed the impressive double ring ceremony. Mrs. Jim Williams provided the organ music.
Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick Carnahan were the bride and groom's only attendants. Mrs. Carnahan wore a beige dress and accessories, with a corsage of bronze mums.
Mrs. Chatman chose a dress of light lace over taffets with V shaped neckline and long sleeves, and matching headpiece. Her attire was accented with an orchid corsage.
Mr. Perry and Mr. Carnahan wore business suits with a white carnation boutonniere.
The brides mother, Mrs. Joe Kollmeyer wore a rose-pink suit with matching hat and presented at the guest book.
After the ceremony a reception was held in the church hall. The bride's table was centered with a three tier white wedding cake trimmed in blue. Mrs. Christina Caruthers served the wedding cake.
The out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Bob Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Neith, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sutherland, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haberberger, Kenneth Wahoff, and Miss Alvera Wahoff of St. Louis; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Perry of Oakville; Mr. and Mrs. James Oswald. Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Vogles, Mrs. Maxine Newton, Lonis C. Chapman Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hogan and Shawn of Imperial; Miss Velda Kays Yancy of Kirksville; Mrs. Harold Bell Wright of Scott City; and Mrs. Lee Chapman and daughter Carol of Knob Lick.
After a short wedding trip they will make their home at Lynn Acres Trailer Court, in Imperial. Mr. Perry is a retired paint contractor of St. Louis and Mrs. Perry is a nurse at Missouri Baptist Hospital.
