Wiliam Henry Achemire served in the Spanish American War from Ohio. He was in an Ohio Unit, and was an Artificer in Company G, 29 Regiment of the infantry. (Note: An Artificer is an enlisted man responsible for the upkeep of small arms and machine guns etc.)

It's said Wiliam Henry Achemire was a blacksmith, and he moved to Wood County, Oklahoma in 1904.
Burial: Alva, Woods County, Oklahoma.
