Notes for Nettie Elizabeth Hutchings

MRS. ED. SHEERS:

Anna Elizabeth Scheers (sic), wife of Ed [Edward] Scheers and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Hutchinson (sic Hutchings), of near Marvin Chapel, died at her home in St. Louis on Feb. 4, 1920, of pneumonia following an attack of the flu, aged 34 years, 2 months and 6 days. The remains were brought to Marvin Chapel where a funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. P. McDonald at one o'clock on Thursday, Feb. 5th. Her huband was also critically ill at the time of her death.

Besides her husband, she left one small child, her parents, one sister and two brothers to whom The News joins in extending sympathy.

[Note: St. Francois County, Missouri Cemeteries, Volume 3, has her listed as "Nannie Elizabeth Sheers", daughter of George & Cynthia Hutchings. Listing also indicates that no tombstone was found for her.]
