M-I BRAKEMAN LOSES FOOT IN ACCIDENT

James H. Fry, 226 Hill St., Bonne Terre, age 54, brakeman for Missouri-Illinois Railroad, had the misfortune of getting his right foot cut off just above the ankle when he accidently fell under a car in the Bonne Terre yards Wednesday morning at 7:40, shortly after starting to work.

He was taken to Bonne Terre Hospital for emergency treatment and then on to Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis.

The crew consisted of James C. Bullock, engineer, Robert L. Bullock, Fireman, Ernest Sherman, Conductor, Oland Stewart and J. H. Fry as brakemen, with engine 1.

Mr. Fry has been with Missouri-Illinois Railroad for more than thirty years.
