Notes for Mary Jane Barron

Star News-Register, Bonne Terre, St. Francois County, Missouri, Friday, January 10, 1930.

MARY JANE TUCKER DIED FRIDAY OF CANCER; WAS SEVENTY-SIX YEARS OLD.

Mrs. Mary Jane Tucker, wife of Henry Tucker of Bonne Terre, 76 years of age, died at her home Friday night of cancer of the stomach. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the Cross Roads school house, conducted by Rev. A. C. Johnson, pastor of the Flat River Methodist Church. Interment was in the Cross Roads Cemetery.

Mrs. Tucker was the mother of ten children, five of whom had preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ed Williams of Mine la Motte; four sons, Armericus Tucker of Flat River; Arcus Tucker of Bonne Terre; Clarence Tucker of Esther and Isro Tucker of Cross Roads. She also leaves one brother, Jas. Barrett (?), of St. Louis.

The News extends sympathy to the bereaved family.

Additional Note: I know that Mrs. Tucker's maiden name is Barron, therefore, her brother's name is most likely James Barron, not Barrett, as published in the above obit.
