William H. Bryan, 86, of rural Marshall, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 11, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church.

Born May 2, 1918, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Edward M. Bryan and Mary Stockman Bryan. On March 9, 1943, he married Doris Danuser, who preceded him in death Dec. 2, 1970. He had lived in Saline County his entire life and was a farmer. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Survivors include six children, Nina Boling, Joy Bailey and Jane Bartlett and husband Charlie, all of rural Marshall, Jean Clouse and husband Larry of Raleigh, N.C., Marty Bryan and wife Janet of Marshall and Pat Bryan of Marshall; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a companion, Wanda Cunningham and family of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Kay Bryan; one son, Roger Bryan; one grandson, Matt Bailey; two brothers, John Bryan and Martin Bryan; and two sisters, Mabel Carter and Marguerite Downs.
